Hospital
Sisters Mission Outreach, Sending Medical Supplies to Developing Countries
Monday, March
25 – 4:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. (transportation provided)
Hospital Sisters
Mission Outreach is not-for-profit organization in Springfield that addresses
the serious unmet medical needs of people in developing countries. Volunteers
will be sorting supplies by medical category, counting and packaging supplies
that will then be distributed across the globe. To sign up for this event email

Making the Grade,
Mentoring Local High School Students
Friday, April.

Making the Grade gives volunteers the chance to help local
students and explore issues such as work ethic, classroom behavior, and career
planning. Sign up to work one-on-one with needy students, discussing social and
academic problems and recommending solutions. The program will kick off the ’13
school year at Lanphier High on February 22nd, with time slots
ranging from half an hour to the entire school day. For more information,

highlight of an ongoing volunteer opportunity you can commit to.
Midwest Mission Distribution Center – Disaster Preparedness Packaging
MMDC is a disaster
relief response center that responds with relief kits and supplies to those
affected by natural or economic disasters. Spend a Saturday afternoon
volunteering between 8:30 and 4:00 making, packing and sorting disaster relief
kits and supplies. Contact Mary Evermon at 217-483-7911 or office@midwestmissiondc.org.
