Ronald McDonald House Volunteer opportunity

Ronald McDonald House Volunteer Opportunity 
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois is in need of volunteers able to come to the House anytime between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm for one or more hours September 9, 10, 11  or 12 to help prepare our newsletters for mailing (basically inserting a donation envelope between the stapled pages of the newsletter and adding a sticker). Anyone interested in helping is invited to contact the House for additional information or “just show up”.

The Rising Stars Rec. Sports Day!

Volunteers are needed for the Rising Stars Rec. Sports day Saturday, October 8, 2011 1pm-4pm. Volunteers will be asked to help facilitate the different activities presented. Assistance in leading and keeping a close eye on the activities will be asked of our volunteers. Volunteers will be spilt into different groups or participating in one big group depending on the number of students who participate.

Volunteers Needed for Homecoming 5K

Volunteers are needed on Saturday, October 15th from 8:30 am until 11:00 am to help with the UIS Homecoming 5K.  The volunteers will be either helping with registration, help guide runners throughout the course, hand out water to the runners or help out at the finish line.  To sign up to volunteer or for more information, please contact Trent Tangen at ttang20@uis.edu

UIS Sangamon Auditorium is seeking UIS student volunteer ushers for Fall 2011. UIS student ushers will greet, direct, assist, and ensure the safety and comfort of patrons attending performances and other events in Sangamon Auditorium and the Studio Theatre.

 SERVICE THE UIS COMMUNITY by assisting with the safety and comfort of those attending events.

 SEE GREAT SHOWS! You will be able to see the events at which you usher without having to purchase a ticket.

 VOLUNTEERING WORKS WITH YOUR FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE. You can usher as often or as seldom as your schedule allows.

Join us Friday, September 9 at 12 p.m. in PAC 397 (Auditorium Administrative Offices) for free pizza
and a one-hour informational session about serving as a volunteer usher.
